By Ian Bateman, CCA Potassium Silicate Liquid Fertilizer -$6.50 / Gallon Fertilizer Analysis NPK: 0-0-4, 6.7% SiO2 H2Pro Wetting agent: 3,800 ppm active ingredient. Materials 1. Certis AgSil 16H 0-0-53, 32% SiO2 ($5.00-$7.00 / lb sold in 50lb bags) 2. H2Pro Greenhouse and Nursery Wetting Agent liquid ($80 / gallon, sold in 2x 2.5 gallon case) 3. RO or distilled water Cost per gallon: $6.50 / gallon Directions To Make 1 Gallon of Potassium Silicate Fertilizer 1. Fill container with ¾ gallons of pure water. 2. Fully dissolve 1.05 lb of Agsil 16H in the pure water. Slowly add fertilizer. Polymerization may occur if added too quickly. 3. Add 12 ml of H2Pro G&N liquid to the fertilizer stock solution. Stir. Increase to 24ml if feeding infrequently. 4. Top off fertilizer stock solution to 1 gallon. 5. Recommend using fertilizer stock solution within 1 month and storing at room temperature in a light tight, lidded container.
